Is he insane, disturbed or just mislabeled because he doesn’t fit into any of society’s little boxes? Kenny the Gardener has been living a life of nonconformity since he dropped out of school and went underground, working for bands and preaching against the rise of corporations and the robotization of humans.

Lunatics On Parole began in 1997 as a vehicle to further Kenny’s endeavors, using the stage to express his insights; political and otherwise. The new cd “RISE”, which was almost two years in the making, is an attack on the power hungry conglomerates, the politicians who support them and is a statement on governmentally-created fiascos.

The 6’8” Kenny the Gardener is the creator and mastermind behind Lunatics On Parole. The booming voice emerging from this giant gives life to his colorful lyrics. Although blunt and to the point, the songs are injected with humor and range from political commentary to good-old California-style party music.

The supporting cast and sound has changed over the years but the goal and message has remained the same.

Lunatics On Parole have returned to the stage to once again raise havoc and political awareness. Former members Thor (drums) and Zeke (guitar) are joined by Robdog (guitar) and Robin (bass) behind Kenny the Gardener as they roll through the countryside bringing their unique brand of stoner political metal.

RISE is an attack on the corporations and the governments they control. War Mongers, Dumbing Down America and Corporate Goosestep are examples of the blunt, no-holds- barred lyrics leading the attack. The final song,Arminius, is about the German barbarian who, against all odds, defeated the Roman legions in 9 AD.. With "original, great, strange and yet passionate vocals that simply offer amazing interpretations suitable for the meanings that Lunatics want to share with the listeners", Kenny is joined by Mike Brickman (Hirax), Jorge Iacobellis (Hirax), Rusty Reens (Watch Me Burn), Bryce Waring and Zeke. The 2nd CD, Life Sucks (and I Love It),begins with the slamming title track that “is veritably brimming over with philosophical considerations” and parties on with Marijuana, Can’t We All Just Get a Bong? and Drinking Problem (Can’t Find my Beer). It also includes everybody’s favorite Crusty Monkey. The band was going through a transformation during the making the record so several different combinations of members and guests recorded the CD. The original lineup of Greg, Neil, Yowzah! and Kenny are joined by Terry Carter (Wrathchild America), Brian Perry (Prong) and Rusty Reens (Watch Me Burn) and the guests include Dez (Coalchamber), Pete Stahl (Goatsnake), Kraig Tyler (Crazytown), Greg Anderson (Goatsnake) and Kenny Pierce (The Spores) This psycadellic/punk/metal outburst is a preview of what is happenning in America today. Kenny the Gardener paints a picture of the world with songs about the growing conservative movement and corporate control, from complaints about piss tests and the war on weed to fears of religious fanaticsm and media manipulation controlling our lives. Welcome to the USSA is recorded by the original lineup of Greg Biribauer, Neil Taylor, Yowzah! and Kenny the Gardener. It includes the 1st radio song Pigs On Patrol along with the Zappa cover-I’m the Slime and Green Revolution.
